THE CONTEXT: MAXIMIZING IMPACT THROUGH RESOURCEFULNESS
These projects originated from collaborations with cultural and historical stakeholders in Hungary. The objective was to bridge the gap between historical education and interactive entertainment, bringing narratives to life for tourists and families. Working within focused budgets and fixed timelines, I provided end-to-end design solutions that maximized player engagement without overextending resources.
THE WORK: FULL-LIFECYCLE OWNERSHIP
As the sole designer and technical lead for these initiatives, I managed the entire development pipeline. This experience instilled a resourceful approach to design, teaching me to prioritize features that deliver the highest value to the player while maintaining project stability.
- Multi-Platform Design: Solely responsible for the mechanics and balancing of 4 tabletop games, 1 fully digital game, and 1 hybrid experience (integrating tablet-based gameplay with physical environment interaction).
- Technical Implementation: For all digital components, I handled the full implementation in Unity (C#), ensuring the software was stable and intuitive for a non-technical audience.
- Stakeholder Management: Navigating commissions in the cultural sector required professional communication, transparent milestone reporting, and the management of expectations from concept to delivery.
- Designing for Accessibility: Developed “pick-up-and-play” systems tailored for broad demographics (families, tourists, and students), ensuring high engagement with minimal learning friction.
